Introduction to Drawing & Painting
Learn the basics as you paint a landscape and a still life in a class sure to
build your skills and your confidence! Doris Craddock, B.A. University

Beginners: Wednesday 10:00 a.m. - Noon.
September 12 - November 18. $200/10 weeks.

Intermediate Oil Painting and Pastels
Adults with experience are welcome to join these studio classes focusing
on color theory, technique, composition, and fun! Doris Craddock, B.A.
University of South Carolina.
Monday 10:00 am – Noon or Tuesday 7-9 p.m.
September 12 - November 18. $200/10 weeks.
Supply list provided by instructor.
Oils and Pastels Studio Class
Refine your drawing skills, and express yourself in color! Students will
work on individually chosen paintings in oils or pastels. Subject matter
includes the still life, wildlife, landscapes and the figure. Sue Brown, BA
Georgetown University, The National Academy of Art, NYC.
Thursday 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (2 1/2 hour studio class)
$190/8 weeks. Offered September - June. Fall 2011 Class starts

Acrylics Studio “Color Theory and Mixing"
Learn techniques for mixing colors, and how to create lights and shadows
in a studio class that involves studies leading to a completed painting.
Terry Chancellor, BFA Virginia Commonwealth University.
Tuesdays 12:30 – 2:00 p.m., September 13- November 15.
$150/10 weeks. Supply list provided by instructor.
Artist Workshop Series
Holiday Decorating Workshop!
Saturday, December 3rd, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Come learn new ways to decorate your home for the holidays and
those special parties. Join us for a fun morning as we explore new
ways to work with greenery, use candles, create beautiful, full bows
and add other special touches to each room. You will create a
dazzling centerpiece to take home, and learn how to add new zest to
your existing decorations.
Instructor: Terry Chancellor. Cost: $45 includes all materials.
Register in advance by December 1.
Paper Crafting: learn techniques to manipulate cardstock to look
antique, suede, or weathered; learn layering, stamping, coloring
techniques, and assembling ideas to create beautiful cards and journals.
