Crystal Proffitt is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth
University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree specializing
in Art Education. She is a licensed art teacher for grades K-
12. Crystal taught arts and crafts at the Virginia
Rehabilitation Center for the Blind and Vision Impaired and
is currently working with disabled children at the Children’s
Hospital. She is an active painter specializing in portraits
and displays her paintings in Richmond. She takes a
painterly approach using color and brush strokes to depict
emotion.
