2012 ROBOTICS SUMMER CAMPS – AGES 9-14

LEGOS & ROBOTS!
 Learn how to build and design Robots using the
Lego NXT system.  Students will learn basic robotic engineering,
programming principals, and the Lego Mindstorms NXT Robotics Invention
system.  No previous experience required, however intermediate Robotics
students will have new challenges in sensor and programming to take their
skills to the next level.   Instructor Julie Eberheim is the coach of teams that
have won regional and State awards in the First Lego League in 2007 and
2008 and in the 2009 FIRST TECH CHALLENGE – a high school league.  
This team won local and regional competitions in 2011 and went on to
compete at The World Tournament in St. Louis!!! $170.00 per week.

Session I:  June 18-22, 4:30-7:30 p.m.  
Session II:  July 23-27, 4:30-7:30 p.m.
Session III:  August 6-10, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.

FLL LEGO ROBOTICS!  Using Lego NXT Robotics kits and laptop
computers, campers are introduced to robot design, basic programming,
engineering practices, and competition strategies.  Team working skills will be
emphasized as the kids work together in small groups to design, build and
program robots to complete missions in a mini-competition on the last day of
camp.  Family and friends are invited to the competition at 10:30 a.m. on
Friday.  Instructor Gregg Butler has coached award winning teams in  
Virginia/DC regional competitions.  $170.00 / week

Session II:  July 16-20, 9:15 a.m. -12:15 p.m. Education Building


Note:  Robotics Camp Enrollment is limited to 12 and fills up very
quickly.
