Terry L. Chancellor holds a BFA in Interior Design from Virginia
Commonwealth University.  She is currently Chair of the Board
of Directors for The Center as well as a Visual Arts
Mentor/Instructor.  She is an accomplished artist, designer and
teacher who paints portraits and a variety of subjects on
commission, working mainly in acrylics, and also enjoys and
teaches mixed-media art, stamping, jewelry design, and floral
arranging.  Her paintings have been shown in Northern Virginia
and Richmond.  Terry also serves as a summer camp instructor
and facilitates retreats and workshops on creativity and spiritual
renewal.
 
Terry has also taught special workshops at The Center for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community
with the help of her husband, Jerry, who provides translation in American Sign Language.  Those
interested in a workshop or a particular subject should contact The Center with requests and we
can work with you to try to construct workshops to fit your needs.  School-aged children to adults
with an understanding of ASL are welcome.  - There should never be barriers to creativity!
