Keadron Higgs Schwoebel started violin at age 6 and studied with Deborah Spinosa, first violinist of the Phoenix Symphony, and later Eugene Lombardi, concermaster of the Phoenix Symphony. She also studied piano and harp and placed second in her division in a national harp competition. She held many concertmaster positions in her early years and more recently, served as the concertmaster of the Richmond Philharmonic Orchestra. As a Richmond Musician’s Union member and active player, Keadron is contracted regularly to play in area churches and various theater presentations, and is a member of the Lyric String Quartet.

Keadron is a highly experienced instructor of violin and viola with 17+ years private teaching experience at Collegiate School and an in-home studio. As an educator, she is known for her caring, encouraging approach to students of all ages. Keadron tailors lessons to each student’s ability, focusing on the development of technical proficiency and musical skills while fostering a love for and appreciation of music. She is an ardent fan of Celtic fiddle music, studying several summers with nationally acknowledged instructors, and was a member of the area festival performing ensemble, Albafiere.

Her dedication to improving her craft recently led her to participate in the Jacobs School of Music 2021 Summer Retreat for Violin and Viola Teachers. The Retreat gave her the opportunity to participate in an intensive 8-day Jacobs School of Music String Academy Pedagogy Workshop. Each workshop incorporated the philosophies of Shinichi Suzuki, Paul Rolland, and Mimi Zweig.
