Chess Class - The Center for Creative Arts
Learn to play one of the world’s oldest and most challenging games—chess. Discover strategies that build a strong chess foundation, one piece at a time in a fun class! Chess teaches discipline, responsibility, critical thinking and problem solving skills. Students will be paired according to their age and ability.
Players will also learn

Private Chess Lessons are ideal for a child just learning to play chess, and to those who would like individual tutoring on how to improve their game! Private lessons are required before a child younger than 6 can join a class.
Classes for children ages 6+ are designed to teach chess in a fun and interesting way appropriate for young minds. Absolute beginners are welcome for careful guided instruction. Classes will be conducted by Mrs. Parul Shah who has taught throughout the Richmond area, and has coached students who have achieved awards in tournaments.
The Chess Club for more experienced players includes individual guidance, monthly chess tournaments, Blitz, Simuals, pawn games, beginner, middle, and end games, chess club championships, and lectures. Students will be grouped according to ability.

Wednesdays:
Private Chess lessons, ages 4+, 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. $40.00/hour. Two paid trial lessons can be reserved before the family commits to a total recommendation of 10 private lessons. Start 9/10.
Fridays:
Private Chess Lessons, ages 4+, 3:00 – 4:00, $40/hour. Two paid trial lessons can be reserved before the family commits to a total recommendation of 10 private lessons. Start 9/10.
