Donations
In the past year we have supported brass, piano, guitar, and violin students - two of whom went on to study music in college. Some students are raised in single-parent households. Another family of four lives on an annual income of less than $30,000. We also provided art classes for a student whose family are refugees from a war-torn country.
The Center enables students to develop their skills, self-confidence, and joy while studying with professional musicians and artists in a nurturing atmosphere. Your tax-deductible gift of any amount will be greatly appreciated by the students and families whose lives you touch. The Center for Creative Arts is an outreach ministry of Shady Grove United Methodist Church, a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. You will receive a receipt acknowledging your donation for your tax records.
Volunteer
During our summer camps and seasonal workshops, we often need volunteers to help our programs run as smoothly as possible. Donate your time by volunteering as a counselor. Duties include assisting the instructor with art activities, preparing snacks, and chaperoning recess. This is a great opportunity for high school students looking for community service hours or college students wishing to build their resume. Counselor openings are limited.
