This camp aims to provide students with awesome musical experiences through individualized and group instruction. During the camp, Stephen will break down important fundamentals covering tone quality, articulation, phrasing, and musicality - the essentials to performing well as an ensemble. Students will learn to perform together using simple song forms, such as the blues, and repertoire from the Great American Songbook, otherwise known as jazz standards. This camp also includes an introduction to Jazz Improvisation and Theory - again, an essential part of any jazz performance. Open to all instrumentalists.
Ability to play a musical instrument required. Students must have at least one year of experience with the instrument.
