Robert Coffman

ABOUT​

Robert Coffman received a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from VCU and a Master’s degree in the Science of Education from Shenandoah University. He taught music in public schools for 37 years and recently retired from Henrico County Public Schools. He also taught for Louisa, Albemarle, and Orange County Schools and Charlottesville City Schools. Many of his middle school choirs received Superior and Grand Champion ratings at national competitions. Robert is the Music Director at Ridge Baptist Church where his duties include directing the Chancel and Handbell Choirs. He has played electric bass guitar for many years. Robert has extensive experience performing various music genres, including rock, country, jazz, easy listening, disco and contemporary Christian. He also plays electric bass guitar for the Ridge Baptist Church Praise Band. He teaches acoustic and electric guitar, electric bass guitar, trumpet, French horn, and voice lessons for students of all ages. His focus is to share his love for music with each student, and hopefully inspire them to have that same love.
