ABOUT

Clifton McDaniel is a guitarist, songwriter, singer, and an award-winning composer. He has a Bachelor of Music degree from JMU and has taught private lessons for over fifteen years.  He has also served as Band Director for high school and middle school bands. Clifton performs with ILAD, a national touring rock band, and The 
Moonbeams - a regional band playing folk influenced neo-roots music, and The Avengers, a wedding band specializing in funk and soul. Clifton teaches everything from classical guitar to jazz to rock. As a teacher, Clifton focus on bring out the student's individual talents, drawing out rather than pushing in.  

 

Scott Burton is a guitarist and composer living in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. For over ten years Scott has been creating some of the most original and genre-bending music and in that time he’s honed a teaching skill set that revolves around each individual student, and keeping music fun for them. Scott has worked with everyone from artist and saxophonist Matana Roberts, to expat hip hop producer Jneiro Jarel (JJ DOOM) and his music has been featured on NPR and BBC Radio. In addition Scott has shared the stage with artists as diverse as MacArthur Grant winner Ken Vandermark to songwriter Julien Baker. Currently Burton leads a trio (w/ Adam Hopkins and Scott Clark), plays with Shannon Carey in Luray and writes and records music for various outlets.
