Color Theory Intensive

This is a deep dive into understanding color: how colors interact, the effects of light on color, understanding undertones, transparency, and opacity, how to achieve aerial perspective, color mixing, and developing your color vocabulary. You will be creating a color wheel and charts, learn to mix to match color, and more. Students must provide their own basic supplies. Email us for a supply list.
Adult Open Painting Studio

In this open studio session, students will work on individual projects of their choice with guided assistance, demonstrations, and topics of discussion from the instructor. Students may work in acrylics, oils, and drawing. This class provides a nurturing environment to elevate your creativity! All levels welcome! Intro to Painting – Choosing Your Medium

Want to start painting but don’t know where to begin and whether oils or acrylics are right for you? In this one session intro, you will learn the pros and cons of both oils and acrylics, the options within both mediums, how to choose your paints and brushes, the difference between canvas surfaces, and additional supplies you will need and/or may wish to add to enhance your painting experience! You will get a chance to try out both mediums. This is a basics workshop for both beginners and those looking to perhaps switch mediums before the next studio classes begin.

Spring Classes 2027

Adult Drawing Basics – Learning to See
Tuesdays 10:00 am—12:00 pm or Tuesday Evenings 6:30-8:30 pm
January 19 – February 2, 2027

In this mini session, students will learn not only the basics of successful drawing, but more importantly how to “see” what they are drawing. Having good basic drawing skills will lead you to more success in your paintings! You will learn how to break complex subjects down to basic shapes, understand perspective, shadows, gesture sketching and more. All levels welcome! Supplies provided or you may bring your own. Meditative Arts in a Chaotic World

Many of us found ourselves craving the peace we witnessed in the monks during the Walk for Peace in 2026. Learn and explore art techniques that can transform our bodies to a state of calm and joy. Rediscover playtime and energize your creativity! We will learn about mandalas, neurographic art, zen tangles, and art journaling. No prior art skills necessary and supplies are provided. Suggestions for your own personal supplies will be provided at the first class.


Adult Still Life Painting Studio

In this focus session, students will learn the elements and techniques for setting up and painting successful still life works. Learn about form, lighting, composition, values, sketching, and more. Adult Landscape Painting Studio
