Children and Teen's Art Classes

       

The professional artists teaching at The Center focus on providing individualized attention to each student in a nurturing environment.  Group instruction is noted for the small class size that enables each student to develop his or her unique talents. Students may join our classes at any time, space permitting.  

2026/2027 Studio Art Classes

Young Art Explorers, K-2nd Grade

 

Mondays 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Session I: 9/14 to 11/6

8 weeks: $200/Session​

Session II: 11/9 to 1/15 (No Class 12/21 or 12/28 for Winter Break)

8 weeks: $200/Session​

In this fun and creative class, young artists will learn the basics of drawing using simple shapes to build confidence and develop fine motor skills. Students will explore painting, learn how to mix colors, and experiment with a variety of art tools and materials. We’ll create both 2D and 3D projects, including playful drawings, colorful paintings, and hands-on sculptures. From animals and landscapes to imaginative scenes, students will be encouraged to express themselves while discovering the joy of making art!

In this dynamic art class, students will build on foundational skills by learning the basics of drawing and shading as well as painting techniques. Through guided projects students will gain confidence and begin to explore their own imagination through creative challenges. We'll work with a variety of materials to create both 2D and 3D art, encouraging experimentation and self-expression. This class offers a wonderful blend of structure and creativity.

Multimedia Techniques, 6th-8th grade

Tuesdays 5:15-6:15 p.m.

7 weeks: $175/Session

This engaging art class offers a mix of guided activities and independent projects, allowing students to explore a wide range of art mediums including drawing, painting, and sculpture. Students will begin to understand color theory and build on their foundational skills while experimenting with new techniques and materials. With an emphasis on both personal expression and skill development, students will be encouraged to think creatively and begin to develop their own artistic voice.

Teen Studio, 8th -12th Grade, Ages 13+

Wednesdays 5:15-6:30 p.m.

This course is designed for teen students who are ready to take their art to the next level. Focused on advanced drawing and painting techniques, this 2D-centered class is ideal for students looking to refine their skills, build a strong portfolio for college, or explore their creative voice more deeply. Students will work through a combination of independent projects and guided prompts that challenge them to think critically and push artistic boundaries. Emphasis will be placed on personal expression, technique, and creative problem-solving.​​​
